Eye Candy

This is Jade Sapphire’s Cashmere-Silk in Oceana (although it looks more like the Everglades colorway…maybe it was mislabeled) and it is wonderful. The picture does not do it justice because it is mostly shades of green with a hint of a dark blue. The colors are deep and moody and make me long for a trip to Ireland. No matter how hard I tried, I could not get an accurate picture of the color.
I am currently knitting with it…a rectangular shawl from Victorian Lace Today, which my wonderful brother got me for Christmas. I think my WIP pic shows of the colors a bit more accurately.

(I am not sure why there is so much discrepancy between the pictures…I took them both this morning, just a few minutes apart, and did not use a flash for either one.)

LOVE it! It’s so pretty! I like the yarn you’ve chosen.

Thank you for the compliment. I love the yarn. Although it appears to be somewhat striped in the picture, it really is not. I like that the color changes are subtle and gradual, rather than harsh and sudden. It has a very smooth and soft feel as well.

Thanks for the Knit Night! Although I am afraid I keep you tied up with teaching me things that you barely get to knit. SORRY! However, I really appreciate it and I have so much fun!

[...] And, after I finish a bit of seaming and blocking, I should also have pictures of the finished shawl I knitted in those wonderful moody shades that remind me of the camping in the mountains on a foggy morning. [...]
